Winchester Defender 10mm Auto 180 Grain Highlights:

  • 10mm Auto Bullet Cycle this through your self-defense pistol.
  • Velocity – 1,240 fps. While average for this weight, this round is fast and will give you increased accuracy and penetration.
  • Nickel Plated Brass Casing – Helps your round feed smoothly through your gun and makes it easier to see in the dark should you get into a sticky situation and need to reload quickly.
  • 180 Grain – One of the lower weights for this round. It gives you both accuracy through maintaining speed and great penetration.
  • Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) – This ammo expands on penetration. It will inflict maximum damage upon an attacker.

Winchester manufactures premium ammo in America (out of Illinois) and sells worldwide. This isn’t budget ammo, but should you really put a price on personal safety? You buy the best to be the best. You also buy the best to feel safe and provide safety for those around you.

Winchester 10mm Auto Bonded Jacketed Hollow Point FAQ:

10mm ammo provides you with around 50% more energy than the popular 9mm 124 grain round. 10mm ammo will most certainly provide you with plenty of stopping power.

This is fairly subjective, but depending on your shooting experience and body type, 10mm can have a lot of recoil. If you’re concerned about recoil it may be worth buying a heavier handgun to shoot it through, as this will help minimize any pain.

It is recommended that you go with a heavier grain weight for bear protection so you can punch through their thick hide. But 180 grain is enough for medium-sized game protection.
