    A western hunter's best friend

Posted by John Rooster on Mar 10, 2025

Simply outstanding. The Canyon HDs deliver exceptional clarity and brightness that make spotting game at distance remarkably easy. Incredibly lightweight for all-day glassing sessions and the ergonomics are perfect even with gloves on. Easily as good as binoculars costing twice as much.

    Absolute game-changer, no cap

Electro Optics are what does it for me packed with nice resolution. Price is strong, but the punch it brings is an absolute game-changer for binos.

Dude, these binos are legit mind-blowing

Posted by Jeff Parker on Mar 10, 2025

Man, these Zulu8s are straight-up ridiculous! Been using them for a couple months now and can't believe the crazy clear glass - like watching nature in 4K or something. Super lightweight so my neck's not killing me after a day out, and the low light performance is insane - still spotting deer when it's practically dark out. Yeah they're pricey but whatever, quality costs money. Seriously worth skipping a few bar nights to save up for these bad boys!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What magnification and objective lens size options are available for the Sig Sauer Zulu8 HDX Binoculars?

A: The Sig Sauer Zulu8 HDX is available in multiple configurations: 8x42, 10x42, 12x42, 8x50, 10x50, and 12x50. The first number indicates magnification power, while the second number represents the objective lens diameter in millimeters. The 8x42 provides the widest field of view, the 10x42 offers a balanced approach, and the 12x42 delivers the highest magnification for detailed long-range viewing. The 50mm models provide enhanced light-gathering capability for low-light conditions.

Q: Are these binoculars waterproof?

A: Yes, the Zulu8 HDX binoculars have an IPX-7 waterproof rating. They are fully nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed to prevent moisture, dust, and debris from entering the optical system, ensuring reliable performance in all weather conditions.

Q: What is the eye relief and is it suitable for eyeglass wearers?

A: The Zulu8 HDX offers a generous 18mm eye relief, which is excellent for eyeglass wearers. This allows users to maintain the full field of view while wearing glasses without discomfort during extended viewing sessions.

Q: What is the field of view at 1000 yards for the different models?

A: The field of view varies by model: 8x42 (426 ft), 10x42 (352 ft), 12x42 (294 ft), 8x50 (408 ft), 10x50 (336 ft), and 12x50 (278 ft). As expected, the lower magnification models offer wider fields of view, making them ideal for scanning large areas and tracking moving subjects, while higher magnification models provide more detailed views at the expense of a narrower field of view.

Q: What is the SPECTRACOAT Anti-Reflection System?

A: Sig Sauer's SPECTRACOAT is a proprietary multi-layer lens coating system that maximizes light transmission while minimizing glare and reflections. This technology enhances contrast and color fidelity while providing superior performance in low-light conditions such as dawn and dusk.

Q: How much do these binoculars weigh?

A: The weight varies by model: 8x42 (28.2 oz/800g), 10x42 (28.5 oz/808g), 12x42 (28.9 oz/820g), 8x50 (32.6 oz/924g), 10x50 (33.0 oz/935g), and 12x50 (33.3 oz/944g). All models feature a magnesium alloy chassis that provides excellent durability while keeping the weight manageable for extended field use. As expected, the models with larger 50mm objective lenses are slightly heavier than their 42mm counterparts.

A: The close focus distance is 6.5 feet, allowing you to observe nearby subjects such as butterflies or plants with excellent detail while maintaining versatility for long-range viewing.
