    Worth every penny for backcountry hunting

    After my cheap rangefinder let me down on a dream hunt last year (gave me wrong readings on a monster buck!), I bit the bullet and invested in the Sig Kilo Canyon. All I can say is WOW - should have done this years ago! Just got back from a wilderness mule deer hunt where this little powerhouse earned its keep. The range is insane - I was getting readings on deer across canyons that I couldn't even get with my spotting scope. Even in low light at dusk (prime hunting time), it performed flawlessly. The best feature is how fast it gives readings - literally instant, even at extreme distances. The angle compensation is dead-on accurate too, which is crucial in mountain terrain. Build quality is rock solid - it got dumped in a stream during a sketchy crossing and kept working perfectly. Yes, it's expensive, but when you're 10 miles from the truck on a once-in-a-lifetime hunt, having gear you can 100% trust is priceless. This rangefinder is the real deal!

    Just got back from a 5-day hunt in Wyoming and this Sig Kilo Canyon was the MVP of my gear! The range on this thing is ridiculous - I was consistently getting readings on deer-sized targets at 1500+ yards. Even ranged a rock face at just over 2000 yards which is just insane for something this compact. The optics are crazy clear too. 6x magnification is perfect - enough to spot animals but not so much that you can't hold it steady. The display is super bright and easy to read even in harsh midday sun (a problem with my old rangefinder). What really impressed me was the speed. This thing gives readings almost instantly, even at extreme distances. The angle compensation worked perfectly in the mountains too - gave me confidence on some tricky uphill shots. Battery life is solid. Used it heavily for 5 days and still going strong. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny if you're serious about hunting. Sig knocked it out of the park with this one!
