    Exceeded all my expectations

Posted by Boris The Buck on Mar 10, 2025

These Buckmasters exceeded all my expectations - crystal clear glass, impressive low-light performance, and built tough enough to survive being dropped twice from my treestand. The 10x42 configuration is perfect for deer hunting, with enough magnification to pick out details but still usable in thick timber. For the price point, these are an absolute steal compared to other binos I've tried. Best hunting gear purchase I've made in years!

Converted from Leupold and couldn't be happier!

Posted by Jake Martinez on Mar 10, 2025

After years of using Leupold binos, I took a chance on these Sig Buckmasters and was blown away by the quality-to-price ratio! The glass is surprisingly clear with minimal edge distortion, and they perform exceptionally well in low light - I can glass effectively 15-20 minutes longer at dusk than with my old pair. They've survived a full elk season of abuse in nasty conditions without issues. For western hunting on a budget, these are a no-brainer purchase that perform like binos costing twice as much.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is the magnification and objective lens size of the Sig Sauer Buckmasters Binoculars?

A: The Sig Sauer Buckmasters Binoculars are available in two configurations: 10x42 and 8x42. The first number indicates the magnification power (either 10x or 8x), while 42 refers to the 42mm objective lens diameter. The 10x42 provides stronger magnification for detailed viewing at longer distances, while the 8x42 offers a slightly wider field of view and better low-light performance.

Q: Are these binoculars waterproof?

A: Yes, the Sig Sauer Buckmasters Binoculars feature IPX-7 waterproof rating, which means they can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. They are also fogproof, with nitrogen purging that prevents internal fogging when moving between temperature extremes, ensuring reliable performance in all weather conditions.

Q: What is the eye relief and is it suitable for eyeglass wearers?

A: The Buckmasters Binoculars offer a generous eye relief of 17mm, which is ideal for eyeglass wearers. This extended eye relief allows users to maintain the full field of view while wearing glasses, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience without vignetting or reduced peripheral vision.

Q: What is the field of view at 1000 yards?

A: The field of view at 1000 yards is 341 feet for the 10x42 model and 393 feet for the 8x42 model. This provides an excellent balance between magnification power and viewing area, allowing you to effectively scan terrain while maintaining enough detail to identify targets.

Q: What is the SpectraCoat lens system?

A: Sig Sauer's SpectraCoat is a proprietary multi-layer lens coating system that optimizes light transmission and minimizes reflection. This technology significantly enhances brightness, contrast, and color fidelity, especially in low-light conditions such as dawn and dusk when game animals are most active, providing hunters with an extended viewing window during critical hunting hours.

Q: How much do the binoculars weigh?

A: The Sig Sauer Buckmasters Binoculars weigh 23.6 ounces (669 grams). This balanced weight reflects the use of lightweight magnesium alloy in the housing while maintaining durability for field use. The weight is optimized to provide stability during extended glassing sessions without causing excessive fatigue.

Q: What is the close focus distance?

A: The close focus distance for the Buckmasters Binoculars is approximately 6.5 feet, allowing for detailed observation of nearby subjects such as small game, birds, or objects of interest at relatively close range while maintaining the versatility needed for long-distance viewing.

Q: What warranty does Sig Sauer offer on these binoculars?

A: The Sig Sauer Buckmasters Binoculars are covered by Sig Sauer's Infinite Guarantee, a fully transferable, unlimited lifetime warranty. This guarantee ensures that Sig Sauer will repair or replace your product in the event it becomes damaged or defective, with no time limit, no receipt required, and no warranty card to fill out, providing lifetime confidence in your investment.
