Black Basin Outdoors has hedged a customer offer on prediction markets. If Republicans keep the House and Senate, customers who buy qualifying products before the election will receive store credit for the full merchandise price of their order.
DALLAS, Texas, Oct. 29, 2026 — Black Basin Outdoors, a family-owned online ammunition retailer, has taken positions on prediction markets that Republicans will keep control of both chambers of Congress in the Nov. 3 midterms. The company is using those positions to fund an offer for its customers.
Customers who buy any qualifying product or bundle at blackbasin.com/pages/election by 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, Nov. 2 will receive Black Basin store credit for the full merchandise price of their order if Republicans hold both the House and the Senate. If they don't, the order stands at the price paid.
Ammo prices and the election cycle

After big elections, we often see a huge spike in demand, and our customers end up paying higher prices for the same ammo they could have bought before the election for less.
If the Democrats win, we know they'll try to pass more policies infringing on the Second Amendment rights of Americans and that ultimately means higher prices for our customers.

The results on Nov. 3 aren't the only reason ammo prices may rise soon. Virtually all of Black Basin's suppliers have notified the company of another round of price increases taking effect Jan. 1 or soon after. Many manufacturers have already raised prices by as much as 10 percent year over year.
How the offer works
- Customers who order any qualifying product or bundle listed at blackbasin.com/pages/election between Oct. 29 and 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, while promotional inventory lasts. There is no limit on the number of eligible products a customer can buy.
- The outcome is determined solely by the final resolution of Kalshi's "Midterms: Congress Balance of Power?" market. Under Kalshi's rules, House control follows the party of the Speaker, and Senate control follows the party of the President pro tempore.
- If that market resolves to Republican control of both chambers, customers receive Black Basin store credit equal to the merchandise price of each eligible product or bundle. The credit excludes shipping, shipping insurance, taxes and fees. Credits are issued within 10 business days after the Kalshi market finally resolves, which will happen no later than Feb. 1, 2027.
Buyers must be 21 or older. The offer is not available where prohibited by state or local law. Full official rules are at blackbasin.com/pages/election.
