Watchtower Firearms, a Texas-based veteran-owned firearms manufacturer, has initiated Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection proceedings in February 2025. This move is part of a strategic restructuring to reorganize the company's financial framework while maintaining its operations. The company has built its reputation on producing premium firearms for civilians, law enforcement agencies, and military applications.

The company was established in 2022 by Jason Colosky, who brings experience as both a former U.S. Marine and Raytheon executive. Currently serving as CEO, Colosky named the company after the military designation for the World War II Guadalcanal campaign, reflecting his military background. Watchtower Firearms maintains its commitment to American manufacturing, with all products being produced domestically at its Spring, Texas headquarters.

In a significant business development, Watchtower expanded its market presence in 2023 by acquiring F-1 Firearms, a company known for catering to discerning firearms enthusiasts. F-1 had previously distinguished itself by offering modern sporting rifles in an impressive array of 68 different finishes.

According to Colosky, the Chapter 11 filing represents a calculated business decision necessary to optimize internal operations and financial structures as the company continues to grow. He has assured stakeholders that despite the reorganization, employees continue to receive their paychecks and customer orders are being fulfilled without interruption. The company's operational capabilities remain robust, as evidenced by its recent completion of an order of 15M carbines for the Lafayette Louisiana Police Department.

Further demonstrating its commitment to product development despite the reorganization, Watchtower introduced a new bolt-action model called the Bridger at the January 2025 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, indicating the company's continued focus on innovation and production.
