SK Guns has revealed the latest addition to their historic Mexican "La Revolución" series, introducing the "Presidente Madero" commemorative firearm. This limited edition piece honors Francisco Madero, Mexico's 37th president, with a production run capped at 300 Colt 1911 Government models chambered in .38 Super.

Each pistol showcases exceptional craftsmanship with a highly polished royal blue finish complemented by 24K gold plating and individually engraved edition numbers. The attention to detail extends throughout the design, creating a collectible that serves as both functional firearm and historical tribute.
The slide features intricate artistry, adorned with native Mexican cannas lily engravings. The left side depicts Madero on horseback surrounded by his supporters, alongside the meaningful slogan "Sufragio Efectivo No Reelección" (Effective Suffrage, No Re-election). The right side presents an illustration of Presidente Madero with his advisors, prominently displaying "Revolución" with the word "Triunfante" (Triumphant) below. Completing the ornate design is a portrait of Madero positioned under a period-authentic Mexican Eagle. All illustrations receive the 24K gold plating treatment.

Francisco Madero holds significant historical importance for his pivotal role in the Mexican Revolution, where he challenged Porfirio Díaz's entrenched dictatorship—widely considered his most notable achievement. Historians credit Madero with establishing democratic reforms that fundamentally altered Mexico's political framework.
As the author of "La Sucesión Presidencial en 1910" (The Presidential Succession of 1910), Madero advocated for fair elections, a concept that deeply resonated with Mexicans weary of Díaz's authoritarian leadership. When Díaz attempted to suppress opposition, Madero led the revolutionary movement that forced Díaz's resignation in 1911, marking a defining moment for Mexican democracy. This historical significance creates a fitting connection to John Moses Browning's iconic 1911 handgun design.
"Though Madero's presidency was short-lived, his legacy has lasted for generations... He is an undeniably important figure in Mexico's battle for independence and democracy, and we are proud to honor his place in the history books. His contributions are significant for Mexico and the world as a whole, and they should not be forgotten," states Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns.
During his presidency, Madero championed freedom of the press and encouraged democratic participation. Despite these noble intentions, he encountered substantial opposition that ultimately led to his overthrow and assassination in 1913 during the period known as La Decena Trágica (Ten Tragic Days).

The new entry in the La Revolución series will begin shipping in late April of 2025, with the "Presidente Madero" pistol available starting at an MSRP of $3,000.
While some firearm enthusiasts prioritize practical use over display pieces, the SK Customs "Presidente Madero" represents a significant collectible for those who appreciate the intersection of historical tribute and firearms craftsmanship.
