At SHOT Show 2026, we caught up with Laugo Arms to see what’s new with the Alien pistol platform. Known for its unconventional design and extremely low bore axis, Laugo continues to evolve the lineup with new variants, special edition kits, and upgrades for competitive shooters.
This year’s updates focus on true left-handed support, collector-grade limited editions, and expanded competition configurations.
Remus: Now Available in a True Left-Handed Version
One of the biggest announcements from Laugo Arms this year is the introduction of a fully mirrored left-handed version of the Remus pistol.
The Remus is the compact version of the Alien platform and features Laugo’s PTR (Push-to-Rack) system, allowing shooters to rack the slide using the optic housing while keeping the optic itself stationary.
Key highlights of the left-handed model:
-
Fully mirrored controls designed specifically for left-handed shooters
-
Same non-reciprocating optic system found on the Alien platform
-
Compact Remus configuration
The full package includes:
-
The pistol
-
Iron sight top rail
-
PTR optic top rail
-
Holster
-
Hard case and accessories
The kit is expected to retail for approximately $6,600.

Gemini Kit: Ultra-Limited Collector Edition
For collectors and Alien enthusiasts, Laugo also introduced the Gemini Kit, an exclusive limited edition package built around a matched pair of Remus pistols.
Features of the Gemini kit include:
-
Matching pair of Remus pistols
-
Titanium nitride (TiN) magazines and base plates
-
Custom carbon fiber grip panels
-
Machined aluminum display case
Only 50 kits will be produced worldwide, with 30 allocated for the U.S. market. The Gemini kit carries a premium retail price of approximately $30,000, making it one of the most exclusive handgun releases shown at SHOT Show this year.
Alien Limited Optics Kit
Laugo also expanded its competition-focused lineup with the Alien Limited Optics Kit.
This configuration is aimed at shooters who prefer a Glock or CZ-style grip angle while still retaining the performance characteristics of the Alien platform.
Key features include:
-
Thumb rest for improved recoil control
-
Oversized magazine well
-
Grip angle suited to Glock and CZ shooters
For comparison, shooters who prefer a 1911 or 2011-style grip angle can still opt for Laugo’s Creator Limited Optics Kit, which remains available in the lineup.
The Alien Limited Optics Kit is expected to retail around $4,600.
22-Round Magazine Compatibility
Another practical update for 2026 is expanded magazine compatibility.
The new magwell design on current Alien models now supports 22-round magazines, giving shooters additional capacity while maintaining compatibility across the evolving Alien ecosystem.
Owners of earlier pistols with the original magwell can upgrade to take advantage of the higher-capacity magazines.
