SHOT Show 2026: Fletcher Rifle Works Doubles Down on Suppressors With Texas Flood & Permian

Author: | Publish Date: Feb 27, 2026 | Fact checked by: Marko Lalovic

At SHOT Show 2026, we stopped by Fletcher Rifle Works to talk about where the company started—and where it’s heading in what they’re calling “the year of the suppressor.”

From their innovative 11/22 receiver system, to the affordable Taquito rimfire can, and two serious .30-caliber suppressors—the Texas Flood and the new Permian—Fletcher Rifle Works had one of the most suppression-focused booths on the floor.

The 11/22: Making the Ruger 10/22 Easier to Live With

Fletcher Rifle Works built its reputation around improving the beloved Ruger 10/22 platform.

Their 11/22 receiver features a patented open-top design. With a simple pin pull:

  • The top slides off

  • The bolt and charging handle lift out

  • Cleaning and malfunction clearing become dramatically easier

Anyone who runs suppressed .22 knows how dirty rimfire can get. The 11/22 eliminates the need to completely disassemble the rifle just to maintain it—making it especially attractive for new shooters and high-volume rimfire enthusiasts.

Taquito: Affordable Rimfire Suppression

Fletcher’s Taquito suppressor is designed as an accessible entry point into suppressed shooting.

Key highlights:

  • MSRP: $300

  • User-serviceable design

  • Removable end cap

  • Fully removable baffles

Because rimfire suppressors accumulate carbon quickly, easy cleaning is essential—and the Taquito is built for that. Baffles can be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled with alignment grooves to maintain optimal performance and minimize point-of-impact shift.

With suppressor tax stamp changes in 2026, Fletcher sees the Taquito as an especially compelling option for first-time buyers.

Texas Flood: Lightweight Titanium Performance

Moving into centerfire territory, Fletcher showcased the Texas Flood, a 3D-printed titanium .30 caliber suppressor.

Notable specs:

  • Weight: 10.5 oz

  • Length: 6.5 inches

  • HUB compatible

  • Interchangeable front caps (5.56 or .30 cal, solid or vented)

The design is licensed from Otter Creek Labs (their Infinity design), but Fletcher produces it in titanium instead of Inconel, delivering significant weight savings.

The Flood has passed SOCOM-style testing, including 10.5-inch .223 setups, and has proven durable across both gas guns and bolt-action platforms.

MSRP sits around $1,300, with typical shelf pricing slightly below that.

Permian: New for 2026

For shooters wanting something more traditional—and more affordable—Fletcher introduced the Permian suppressor.

Highlights:

  • Welded baffle design

  • .30 caliber rating

  • Compatible with 5.56/.223

  • MSRP: $550

While still in final prototype refinements, the Permian is designed as a durable, lower-backpressure option that excels on bolt guns but remains versatile enough for AR platforms.

Barrel length guidance currently includes:

  • ~10.5” minimum for 5.56

  • 16” for .308

  • ~24” for magnum cartridges like .300 Win Mag

Fletcher maintains a strong repair and warranty program, understanding that real-world use can sometimes push gear beyond ideal specs.

Muzzle Devices & Mounting Solutions

With suppressors taking center stage in 2026, Fletcher also rolled out an extensive lineup of muzzle devices and mounting solutions, including:

  • HUB-compatible mounts

  • Direct thread options (1/2x28 and 5/8x24)

  • Plan B–style compatible mounts (Cherry Bomb pattern)

  • 1x16 left-hand thread pattern devices (CAT/CGS style)

  • Their own “Minimalist” mounting solution

These options allow shooters to fine-tune attachment methods based on platform, suppressor, and personal preference.

And One More Thing…

Fletcher Rifle Works teased development of a .50 caliber suppressor, essentially an expanded version of the Texas Flood concept. While details are limited, it signals their intent to scale further into heavy-caliber suppression.

Final Thoughts

Fletcher Rifle Works delivered one of the most cohesive suppressor-focused showings at SHOT Show 2026. From entry-level rimfire cans to lightweight titanium .30-caliber systems—and even future .50-cal development—they’re clearly betting big on suppression as the next major growth category.
