Rost Martin Launches RM1S Comp and Adds Two New California-Approved Models

Rost Martin has expanded its handgun lineup with the introduction of the RM1S Comp, a subcompact 9mm pistol designed with an integrated compensator. Alongside this release, the company unveiled two additional models tailored specifically for California buyers: the RM1S Comp California and the RM1C Comp California. Both have secured approval for the California DOJ Roster.
At the center of the RM1S Comp is its compensated slide paired with a 3.6 inch hammer forged match barrel. This setup uses a single port configuration intended to help control muzzle rise. The slide is optic ready and supports direct mounting of red dot sights with common footprints. From the factory, the pistol ships with a flush fit magazine and an extended magazine, or with ten round options where state regulations require them. Rost Martin lists the RM1S Comp at an MSRP of 489 dollars.
The overall size of the pistol matches the standard RM1S model, with the key addition being the integrated compensation system. The company highlights this as a way to offer shooters more control during fast paced firing sequences.
For shooters in California, the new RM1C Comp and RM1S Comp roster certified versions make the brand’s subcompact carry pistols available within the state’s regulatory structure.
Rost Martin stated that broadening support for the California market is part of a longer term strategy to make its defensive pistol offerings more accessible while adhering to the requirements necessary for roster placement. The company frames this move as a continuation of its emphasis on self reliance and providing options for both new and experienced gun owners in highly regulated states.
