Nighthawk Custom, renowned for their premium 1911 and double-stack 1911 pistols, has unveiled two groundbreaking new products at SHOT Show 2025 that are set to redefine expectations in the custom firearm market.
New Product Highlights
The Double Agent
In a remarkable collaboration with Agency Arms, Nighthawk Custom has introduced their most concealed carry-friendly double-stack 1911 yet - the Double Agent. This commander-sized model features a revolutionary shorter, thinner aluminum grip design that minimizes printing while maintaining Nighthawk's legendary performance standards.
The Double Agent's commander-length slide showcases precise knurling and deburring, striking a perfect balance between providing optimal traction and preventing holster wear. The texture on the innovative aluminum grip matches the slide's knurling aesthetically while remaining gentle enough for comfortable everyday carry against bare skin and clothing.
Drawing inspiration from the single-stack Agent 2's angular design language, the Double Agent delivers a contemporary aesthetic while preserving Nighthawk Custom's renowned craftsmanship. The result is a modern take on the classic 1911 that offers unmatched performance in a sleek, compact package.
The Single Stack Sand Hawk
Following the success of their double-stack Sand Hawk, Nighthawk Custom has introduced what they're calling their softest-shooting 1911 ever - the Single Stack Sand Hawk. This innovative model, legal in 48 states, features a unique steel frame that adds 5 ounces compared to its aluminum-gripped double-stack counterpart, contributing to its exceptional shooting characteristics.
Available in 9mm, .45 ACP, and 10mm, the Single Stack Sand Hawk introduces several groundbreaking features to Nighthawk's lineup, including a square trigger guard, dimpled front strap and rear mainspring housing, and a full-length recon rail that seamlessly integrates with a built-in compensator. This marks Nighthawk's first 1911 featuring a square trigger guard design, representing a significant milestone for the company.
Additional Featured Models
The company also showcased their popular Agent 2 in full rose gold, another successful collaboration with Agency Arms. This model exemplifies Nighthawk's commitment to their "One Gun, One Gunsmith" philosophy, where each firearm is crafted entirely by a single gunsmith who signs their initials under the grip panel, ensuring full accountability and ownership of the build process.
Craftsmanship Details
During the show, Nighthawk Custom representatives emphasized their unique manufacturing process, where parts begin as solid blocks of steel and are machined in-house to intentionally oversized dimensions. Each gunsmith then hand-fits these components using traditional techniques like hand files and sanding sticks to achieve perfect fitment.
The company also noted their expansion into the revolver market through their partnership with Korth, offering custom revolvers for those seeking what they describe as "the world's finest revolver."
