Firearm enthusiasts with rear Picatinny-equipped platforms now have an exciting new option in their tactical arsenal. Magpul has officially launched the UCS (Utility Carbine Stock), a sophisticated folding stock solution designed specifically for weapons featuring rear-mounted M1913/Picatinny rail systems.

This innovative addition to Magpul's lineup delivers exceptional versatility through thoughtful engineering and user-focused design elements. The UCS represents a significant advancement for shooters seeking greater customization options without compromising performance.

What sets the UCS apart is its remarkable adaptability. The ingeniously designed reversible folding mechanism allows users to configure the stock to fold in either direction—left or right—depending on individual preference or specific platform requirements. Magpul has incorporated a practical 5° drop angle into the design, providing crucial clearance for charging handles, ejection ports, and other operational controls that often experience interference with traditional folding stocks.

Customization extends further with the included tool-free, reversible cheek risers. The stock comes standard with both 0.50" and 0.75" height options, allowing shooters to precisely adjust their cheek weld for optimal sight alignment. Complementing this feature is a reversible M1913 mounting clamp offering ½-slot height adjustment, giving users unprecedented control over the stock's positioning.

Length of pull (LOP) adjustability hasn't been overlooked. The UCS provides six distinct positions spanning 3 inches of total travel, accessible via intuitive push-button controls. This range accommodates virtually any shooter configuration, whether wearing body armor or shooting unencumbered. Despite its robust feature set, the UCS maintains a relatively lightweight profile at just over 18 ounces.

Additional practical elements include a thoughtfully positioned reversible QD sling socket with built-in anti-rotation capability. The UCS also maintains compatibility with Magpul's established MOE SL® and DT series butt-pads, giving users flexibility in recoil management options.

Key Specifications:

  • Six-position LOP adjustment with push-button operation (3" total adjustment range)
  • Ambidextrous folding capability with reversible mechanism
  • Two included tool-free reversible cheek risers (0.5" and 0.75")
  • Tactical 5° drop angle providing essential clearance for operational components
  • Reversible M1913 mounting clamp with ½-slot height adjustment
  • Integrated reversible anti-rotation QD socket
  • Weight: Approximately 18+ ounces

The Magpul UCS is available in two finish options—Black and Flat Dark Earth (FDE)—with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $219.95.
