Leupold has introduced their latest innovation in optical technology with the BX-4 Range HD Gen II rangefinding binoculars. These advanced optics are designed for hunters seeking to streamline their field gear while maintaining premium performance, combining exceptional glass quality with precise ranging capabilities in a single unit.

The BX-4 Range HD Gen II was developed with a "binocular-first" philosophy, built around Leupold's renowned Elite Optical System. This premium system delivers exceptional light transmission throughout the entire day, superior glare reduction in challenging conditions, and crystal-clear edge-to-edge viewing. The scratch-resistant lenses produce high-definition imagery with natural color reproduction—avoiding the blue tint common in some optics—and maintain outstanding contrast even in demanding environments.

Ergonomics received particular attention in the design process. The BX-4 Range HD Gen II features customizable form-fit eyecups that allow users to adjust for optimal comfort during extended glassing sessions. Leupold has also implemented a programmable power button that can be configured for either right or left-handed operation, enhancing user convenience. Additional thoughtful design elements include protective raised standoffs around the buttons to prevent accidental activation of the rangefinder function while in the field.

Performance specifications for the rangefinder are impressive, with capabilities to range reflective targets at distances up to 4,000 yards, trees to 2,000 yards, and deer-sized game animals to 1,300 yards. The system also includes specialized functionality for bow hunters with an Archer's Advantage bow mode complementing its enhanced ranging capabilities.

The BX-4 Range HD Gen II is offered in two configurations: a 10x42 model providing a wider field of view, and a 12x50 version optimized for long-distance observation. Both models are currently available for purchase, with the 10x42 priced at $1,599.99 MSRP and the 12x50 at $1,799.99 MSRP.
