CZ has expanded its 600+ series of bolt-action rifles with the release of the 600+ Trail FDE, a new model that keeps the compact, PDW-style architecture of the original Trail but introduces a full Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish. Marketed as a compact sporting rifle, the Trail FDE is available in .223 Remington, .300 AAC Blackout, and 7.62×39, and continues the family’s modular approach with a user-swappable barrel system that enables caliber changes without replacing the entire rifle.

The rifle is built around a 16-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, equipped with an M15×1 muzzle thread to accommodate suppressors and other muzzle devices. Its receiver and forend are constructed from duralumin, and the top of the rifle carries a full-length Picatinny rail. Multiple M-LOK mounting points are integrated into the handguard, allowing shooters to configure lights, grips, and other accessories as needed.

One of the standout elements of the Trail FDE is its four-position telescoping stock, which incorporates a right-side cheekpiece. This stock design keeps the weapon compact when folded while still offering adjustable support when extended.

Trigger setup is handled by a two-stage trigger with four selectable pull-weight settings, and the rifle features a 60-degree bolt lift, helping maintain smooth and quick cycling in tight shooting positions. The action uses a controlled-feed arrangement with a short ejector for reliable extraction. Magazine compatibility varies by caliber, with the .223 Remington model accepting AR-15 magazines, while the 7.62×39 variant uses BREN 2-type magazines.

CZ states an accuracy standard of 2 MOA at 100 meters, measured by three-shot groups for .300 BLK and five-shot groups for the other calibers. All major metal components receive BobOx deep-nitriding, and the company rates the receiver for a 20,000-round service life.

With its adjustable stock, FDE protective coating, and modular barrel system, the CZ 600+ Trail FDE is aimed at shooters seeking a lightweight, configurable bolt-action rifle that blends modern ergonomics with widely available magazine formats.
