Blaser Unveils the FBX Competition Shotgun: A Precision-Engineered Masterpiece

Blaser has recently revealed its latest creation in competitive shooting excellence—the FBX Competition Shotgun. This premium sporting shotgun represents the pinnacle of precision engineering, though its luxury status places it beyond the reach of most enthusiasts despite its undeniable appeal.

The FBX Competition distinguishes itself with a distinctive fat body receiver that Blaser has meticulously designed to achieve an optimal balance between stability and performance. The company describes this shotgun as a "symphony of optimally aligned components," engineered specifically to deliver "effortless swing and fatigue-free shooting" during extended competition sessions.
At the heart of the FBX's design philosophy is its semi-round contoured receiver, strategically crafted to establish a more stable center of gravity directly on the hinge axis. Complementing this feature, Blaser has incorporated an integrated balancer system within the forend, allowing shooters to customize weight distribution without resorting to barrel-mounted weights.

The technical excellence continues with Blaser's proven IBS Anti-Double and Ejection Ball Systems, ensuring exceptional reliability and enabling faster shot sequences. Maintenance is streamlined thanks to the monocoque-designed receiver with its detachable trigger assembly. Recoil management receives special attention through the pad's expansive contact surface and thoughtfully engineered stock geometry.
Control is enhanced through the FBX's steeper pistol grip angle, which not only improves handling but also allows for more efficient recoil absorption. The carefully calculated comb and drop measurements promote shot-to-shot consistency while reducing muzzle flip for improved comfort against the cheekbone. Further personalization comes from the butt stock's built-in balancer system, adjustable to individual preferences.
According to Blaser Group CEO Jason Evans, "You feel the difference the minute you pick up the FBX... The balance and handling are a thing of beauty, and its overall design and performance is German engineering at its finest."

The FBX's aesthetics serve both form and function, featuring an elegant black Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating on visible steel surfaces that enhances durability while providing superior corrosion resistance. Shooters can choose between Briley thin wall extended chokes or a fixed choke configuration with ventilated side rails that reduce weight and improve barrel cooling. Additional performance features include consistent wall thickness throughout the barrel, extended forcing cones, and uniform contour even with extended chokes—all contributing to the shotgun's recoil mitigation capabilities.

The Blaser FBX Competition Shotgun will be delivered with a sporting stock configuration, adjustable comb, and 12-gauge low-rib competition barrel. This exceptional firearm carries a premium price tag of $13,995 MSRP.
This shotgun clearly represents extraordinary craftsmanship, likely delivering a shooting experience that matches its impressive aesthetics.
