A Letter from Our Founder and CEO, Nathaniel Boos

Dear Valued Customer,

I’m excited to share some news that's been in the works! As we’ve grown, so has our vision. While firearms, ammunition, and accessories will always remain at the core of what we do, we’re eager to expand our focus to include a broader range of outdoor products. To better reflect this evolution, we’re officially changing our name from Southern Defense to Black Basin Outdoors.

We've always aimed to be transparent so we're simplifying our pricing/shipping structure. Going forward, all orders over $500 will ship for free, while smaller orders will have minimal shipping costs. For example, a case of PMC 556 Green Tip ammunition that previously cost $475 plus $50 shipping will now be listed at $525 with free shipping included. While the total cost remains the same, you'll see the full price upfront with no surprises at checkout.

With our rebrand and shipping changes, several exciting updates will launch on December 12th. Here's what's coming:

• New Website: Our website is getting a complete makeover, with improved functionality to enhance your shopping experience and make it more enjoyable.
• Rewards Program: Coming in Q2 2025, we’ll be launching a new rewards program, offering exclusive perks, special pricing, and "Basin Bucks" you can redeem on future orders or for other products in the program.
• Expanded Catalog: In the next 24 months, you'll have access to a wider range of firearms, accessories, optics, fishing gear, hunting equipment, and more.
• Updated Communications: Moving forward, all emails, order confirmations, and communications will come from our new domain, BlackBasin.com, which is also where our new website will be hosted. Please add @blackbasin.com to your approved email list to ensure you receive important updates.
• Seamless Transition: Rest assured, all existing customer accounts and orders will be ported over. You’ll be able to log in to your account using the same username, email, and password as before.
• Additional Enhancements: You can also expect improvements specifically for firearms and ammunition, such as range reports, price tracking and alerts, exclusive offerings, and more.
