    Lahab 124 gr

Posted by Duncan on Sep 05, 2025

This stuff is great. It cycles fine, has consistent recoil impulse and muzzle flash, was very cheap and arrived very well packaged. Everything was clean and undamaged. I had read mixed reviews of Lahabs 5.56 but also seen that their 9mm was good to go. I haven't tried any of their rifle ammo yet but the 124 gr 9mm has been a really good deal for me.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is the primary use for Lahab 9mm NATO 124 Grain FMJ ammunition?

A: Lahab 9mm NATO 124 Grain FMJ ammunition is primarily designed for target shooting, training, and practice. Its full metal jacket construction makes it ideal for use in indoor and outdoor shooting ranges, as well as for tactical training exercises.

Q: Is this ammunition compatible with all 9mm handguns?

A: This ammunition is specifically designed for 9mm NATO firearms. While it can generally be used in most 9mm Luger (9x19mm) handguns, it's important to note that 9mm NATO typically has higher pressure than standard 9mm Luger. Always consult your firearm's manual to ensure compatibility before use.

Q: What is the muzzle velocity of this ammunition?

A: The muzzle velocity for Lahab 9mm NATO 124 Grain FMJ is approximately 1150 feet per second (fps) when fired from a 4-inch barrel. This provides good performance for target shooting and training purposes.

Q: Is this ammunition corrosive?

A: No, Lahab 9mm NATO 124 Grain FMJ ammunition is non-corrosive. It uses modern, non-corrosive primers that don't leave residues that can damage your firearm's barrel or action.

Q: What is the significance of the 124 Grain weight?

A: The 124 Grain weight is a standard for NATO specification ammunition. This weight provides a good balance between velocity and recoil, making it suitable for a wide range of shooting applications. It's heavier than 115 grain bullets, offering potentially better accuracy at longer ranges.

Q: Can this ammunition be used for self-defense?

A: While Lahab 9mm NATO 124 Grain FMJ can be used for self-defense, it's not the optimal choice. FMJ bullets are designed for penetration and not expansion, which is generally preferred for self-defense situations. For self-defense, hollow point or expanding ammunition is typically recommended.
