I have ordered from Southern defense several times and recommend them. The prices are great no hassles whatsoever. This ammo was of interest to me because of the price and when I research the manufacturer it's a military manufacturer with a great reputation and is technically advanced in their manufacturing techniques because, also a very very strong long-standing tradition of manufacturing Small Arms Munitions in the geography where this is made, so it's like a part of the way of life like it used to be here in Connecticut where I live before we went communist. Now I buy stuff from former communist countries who are making some pretty good ammo. This shot very well very similar to other 55 grain like federal american eagle , fiocchi range dynamics, pmc xtac, basic consistent clean(ish-it is a munitions for God's sake). Recommend.

Igman .223 Rem Ammo FAQ:
Originally the .223 was designed for self-defense, varmint hunting, and medium game. Because of its Full Metal Jacket design, this round is great for high-volume shooting at the range.
55 grain is considered the standard grain weight, although there are a couple of lighter rounds and quite a few heavier rounds.
Typically the .223 flies flatter and faster but the .308 has more impact and penetration at the target.
