CCI has recently expanded their rimfire ammunition lineup with the addition of the new Suppressor Max .22 LR. This specialized ammunition features a unique segmented hollow point bullet designed to operate at subsonic velocities while maintaining reliable cycling in semiautomatic firearms.

The new round operates at a muzzle velocity of 970 FPS, deliberately engineered to stay below the sound barrier for quieter shooting when used with suppressors. Despite its subsonic speed, the 45-grain segmented hollow point bullet delivers impressive expansion when striking targets. Technical specifications include a ballistic coefficient of .125, muzzle energy of 94 foot pounds, and 73 foot pounds of energy maintained at 100 yards. The ammunition comes in 100-round packages with a retail price of $18.99.
According to CCI's official announcement, the Suppressor Max 22 LR was developed specifically for hunters and recreational shooters seeking optimal accuracy, terminal performance, and noise reduction when using rimfire suppressors. The hollow-point design ensures effective segmentation upon impact, even at its subsonic velocity.
"Whisper-quiet yet powerful rimfire performance is now within reach," stated Steve Monniere, CCI's Rimfire Product Line Manager. "CCI Suppressor Max delivers excellent accuracy, and our proven segmenting hollow-point bullet also provides exceptional terminal performance. More and more shooters and hunters are opting for suppressed firearms, and they will all love this new 45-grain 22 LR option."
The new Suppressor Max 22 LR ammunition is currently being distributed to retailers across the country.
