Bear Creek Arsenal has officially launched production of 5.56 rifle ammunition at their facility in Sanford, North Carolina. This marks a significant expansion for the company beyond their established firearms manufacturing business.
While many ammunition manufacturers have been relocating to Arkansas recently, Bear Creek Arsenal is keeping their new ammunition production line in North Carolina where their operations are based.

The initial offering is a 5.56 NATO 55-grain full metal jacket (FMJ) boattail cartridge. According to the company, this ammunition is "meticulously loaded to ensure consistent velocity, reliable cycling, and optimal accuracy shot after shot." The product is specifically marketed for range training, target shooting, and tactical practice applications.
Bear Creek Arsenal founder Eugene Moore explained the move: "At Bear Creek Arsenal, we are committed to providing high-quality, American-made products at unbeatable value. Expanding into ammunition manufacturing was a natural step for us."
The new ammunition is positioned as a budget-friendly option for shooting enthusiasts who want to practice regularly without excessive cost. It's currently available directly from Bear Creek Arsenal's website, priced at $29.50 for a box of 50 rounds. The company also offers ammunition from other manufacturers, allowing customers to purchase pistol rounds or different rifle calibers in the same order.
